About the event
The talented Spanish pianist and composer Javier Rodríguez has received a direct commission from the founder and Chair of The Spanish Circle, Carmen Bouverat de Young, to create a contemporary ballet Flamenco dance to celebrate the cultural symbiosis between the Hispanic world and the United Kingdom.
This innovative and inspired ballet will be a continuation of a previous project “Embrujo” ("Bewitchment"), where the roots of flamenco will be fused with contemporary dance.
The ballet, which will premiere at The National Liberal Club, aims to humanise the power and vitality of the Hispanic world and Flamenco music.
The creator Javier Rodríguez highlighted that "It is a contemporary cultural celebration, and an ode to the hope, joy, variety and expressive freedom that the Hispanic culture represents in the Anglo-Saxon world".
